Cricket is a handpoke tattoo artist and illustrator, specialising in fine ink and dotwork, with a particular focus and experimentation on how static imagery can merge with and compliment the movement and flow of the human form.
Alongside turning her passion into her career, since moving to Ōtautahi from Pōneke, Cricket has taken a deep dive into the world of interactive art, with local art collective Mary Hush. This has led to her involvement as an Experience Designer creating immersive zones within larger scale events, taking inspiration from her experiences from burn events throughout Australia and NZ.
Lauren is an event manager, business owner, professional circus performer and wood carving artist who travels accross Aotearoa teaching, learning and absorbing the arts.
Lauren has been heavily involved in the Aotearoa festival scene for over 5 years and coordinates some of the biggest events in the country.
She moved to Otautahi and into the XCHC artist residency to expand opportunities, build further connections and work alongside other thriving artists.
Royce creates clothing with intention; that it will become a signature piece of the special memories we create with friends. His signature label ‘Sockthief’ will be spotted throughout festivals and artists groups.
Royce has also developed Ōtautahi’s electronic music scene by designing a European-inspired Boiler Room zone for up-and-coming DJs to develop their practice.
Preston has been working as an Arts administrator and Community Arts Worker since 2016. He works with creatives testing new ideas, developing their practice and careers.
He’s a member of the Mary Hush collective organizing immersive and intentional nightlife events that bring together artists from around the country to experiment with new ways of showcasing work that might not fit in traditional artist spaces/galleries.
Through the well renowned 03 crew, Deep Frequency, E.T’s musical journey has become established from an abundance of high tier underground raves, alongside the unique individuals surrounding it. Well renowned for holding down those late night swampy sets, his ever evolving sound is fuelled by the dancefloors energy.
