2nd tier: Host
$150+GST per month
This is for members interested in hosting events.
You'll receive the benefits of the Casual Membership, plus the ability to Add to the Members Calendar to host events. If you want to secure the space to host events, workshops, film nights, etc. this is the tier for you.
Step #1: Visit & Submit an Applicaiton
Our aim is to host creative members that bring a diversity of skills, experience, and activity to the space.
What we’re looking for in the application: The purpose of XCHC is to bring together creatives who are developing their ideas, businesses, and projects. Our decision is based on if we believe the space can serve your creative goals.
We like bold and experimental thinking, so include those when you apply. (no “tall poppy” business here)
Step #2: Onboarding
Once you have submitted an application, we will contact you to discuss your application.
If approved, we will send you a payment link for whichever tier you choose.
Once the payment is completed, we will organize a time to give you access to the building, training on the facilities you’d like to use, and grant access to the google calendar.
Not everyone is a confident barista, or knows how to operate A/V equipment, so ontop of training, there will be instructions in our XCHC Guidebook. These instructions will be online aswell as posted up around the venue to help you with the facilities/equipment.
Step #3: Accessing the Google calendar
Host Members:
We will adjust your permissions to EDIT the calendar.
When adding events to the calendar, you’ll be asked to include helpful information like your Name & Event Title, and details of your event so other members are well informed of what is happening in the space.
Casual Members:
You’ll be able to VIEW all members events and activities in the space.
As a casual member, you’ll have 24/7 access to the space, but you will need to be aware of what the Host members are doing as some of their events may be ticketed.
Our aim is for creatives to be able to use the space for coworking, and socializing, but also to occasionally generate income through events. We expect members to be supportive of these events.
Optional support: helping on door, setting up/pack-down, cleaning up after an event, or helping with lighting/sound.
Any questions?
We want to continue to make improvements, so please add all questions or anything that’s unclear to the “Ask Here” link below. We’ll add them to our FAQs page and our Guidebook so all members can access the information.
