"I have made a series of scrap quilts for my exhibition "what remains". I wanted to make a statement about waste especially in the garment industry and about using the resources that we have. I spent six months sewing these quilts from fabric I had.
I used my fabric scraps, my friends fabric scraps and some other fabrics like a pile of shirts that my friends donated. I wanted to make quilts that are bright and beautiful but also practical. The result is a series of bright, beautiful, practical quilts which will be useful for years to come." - Deb
What Remains will be exhibited publically from February 6th - 10th with this event being the closing celebration of the exhibition, and a chance to meet the artist.
