Josie's Solo CHCH Edition

'Josie's Solo' is a dance work choreographed and performed by Josie Archer. 
The piece was recently presented as part of the Auckland Fringe Festival 2017 and was awarded Best Dance of the Fringe. 

'Josie's Solo' was originally created during a month long artist residency at SpaceVac, Mullae, Seoul in 2016. The piece has since been developed in Auckland. This version explores both her experience of Seoul and return to New Zealand.

Original program notes (Seoul): 

"The creative process and inception of the work are a response to her stay in Seoul and the observations made during this time. Josie works with non-narrative movements to provoke human empathy and a shared experience of time, space, and the body. She presents her work as a contribution/offering to the local community."
