Life doesn't come with a script, and neither does this show!

Impulse Theatre presents "Swarm" an exciting non-stop series of scenes, each inspiring the next in a rollercoaster of human experience that could lead anywhere.

The second half of the show will be a one-act fully improvised play performed by two special guests.

Improvisation is an amazing thing to see, and can seem a bit of a mystery, but can produce some truly memorable, funny, and heart-warming scenes.

Even though the actors are improvising that does not mean that they come to stage unprepared.  In fact improvisers spend years training to learn the techniques that allow them to create amazing, compelling characters and inspiring scenes.  Rather than reading lines as traditional actors do, improvisers learn to read each other.  They read their scene partners emotional content, their body language, their relationship to each other in space, and all of this informs them about who they are, what is happening, and the relationship that they have.  All of this happening in the moment, as the actors adjust to each new piece of information as they discover it, moment to moment.  When the actors truly connect in this way, it is an absolute joy to watch.
