“Unripened Habit” is an investigation of identity as an emerging artist. Identity in simple words can be defined as being who or what a person is. It develops over time and can evolve, sometimes drastically, depending on what directions we take in our life.

As an emerging artist, there is no complete solidity, certainty, or clarity in our identity. Iann An investigates her identity through figurative paintings using acrylics as her main media and video work inspired by French New Wave.
