An Exhibition and Book Launch
Friday, August 26th, 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Visual Arts: Liam Dangerfield
Music: Lisa Tui and Bright On Vibes Choir
Literature and Reading: Marisa Taylor
Just in time for the sixth anniversary of the September 2010 earthquake, three post-quake stories will be told in this night of song, literature and visual art.
Artist Liam Dangerfield opens his second exhibition entitled 'Cityscapes', showcasing Christchurch's ever-changing faces.
Singer-songwriter Lisa Tui will perform songs inspired by Liam's first exhibition, Paintings of the City, and will conduct Bright On Vibes choir in arrangements specifically chosen for the evening.
Christchurch writer Marisa Taylor will read from her debut novel, Bleak City, which features Liam's painting, 'Cashel Street', on its cover.
Liam, Lisa and Marisa have all been affected by the Christchurch earthquakes in different ways, three of the many stories that have unfolded in the post-quake city. Stories now told through Art, Song, and Words.
